1. Introduction

RocketDeal Technologies Pvt. Ltd. ("RocketDeal", "we", "our", "us") operates a B2B sourcing platform — accessible via the RocketDeal website and mobile application (collectively, the "Platform") — through which RocketDeal sells curated electronic inventory to verified business buyers via bulk deals and private auctions.

We take your privacy seriously. This Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and share it, and the rights you have. By accessing or using the Platform you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

2. Information we collect

We collect information directly from you, automatically as you use the Platform, and from third parties who help us verify or service your account.

Account and KYC information

  • Business name, registered address, GSTIN, PAN and other tax identifiers
  • Certificate of incorporation, MSME / Udyam registration where applicable
  • Authorised-signatory name, email, phone number, designation
  • Bank account details (account number, IFSC, bank name) used for settlements
  • Photo identification of authorised signatories where required by law

Transactional information

  • Bids placed, deals claimed, orders placed, invoices, manifests and shipping addresses
  • Payment status and partial payment instrument metadata (issuer, last four digits) — we do not store full card numbers, CVV or banking credentials
  • Disputes, claims, returns and refund history

Technical and usage data

  • Device identifiers, IP address, browser, operating system, app version
  • Pages and screens viewed, features used, search queries, click and tap streams
  • Approximate location (derived from IP) for fraud-prevention purposes
  • Crash logs and diagnostic information

Communications

  • Emails, in-app messages, support tickets and call recordings made for quality and training
  • Feedback, survey responses and reviews you submit

3. How we use your information

  • To verify your identity, business and eligibility to bid or transact on the Platform
  • To process orders, payments, refunds, settlements and shipping
  • To comply with tax, accounting and regulatory obligations (including GST e-invoicing)
  • To prevent, detect and investigate fraud, abuse, money-laundering and other unlawful activity
  • To provide customer support and respond to grievances
  • To improve the Platform — debug issues, measure feature performance, run A/B tests
  • To send service messages (transactional alerts, deal alerts you opt in to, security notices)
  • To send marketing communications, where you have consented and subject to your right to opt out at any time

4. Legal basis

Depending on the activity, we rely on one or more of the following grounds:

  • Consent — for marketing communications, optional cookies and any processing for which the law requires consent
  • Performance of a contract — to provide the Platform you have signed up for
  • Legal obligation — to comply with tax, AML and other statutory requirements
  • Legitimate interests — to keep the Platform secure, prevent fraud and improve our services

5. Sharing & disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as described below:

  • Counterparties on the Platform — we share necessary details (business name, ship-to address, GSTIN) with the seller or buyer at the other end of a transaction so they can fulfil it and meet tax obligations
  • Service providers — vetted vendors who help us run the Platform (hosting, KYC verification, payments, logistics, customer support, analytics, communications). They may only use the data on our instructions and under written contracts
  • Government and law-enforcement authorities — where required by law, court order or to enforce our terms
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, sale of assets or insolvency, where the recipient is bound to honour this Policy
  • With your consent — for any purpose disclosed at the time of collection

6. Security

We use industry-standard administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect your information — including TLS encryption in transit, encryption at rest for sensitive fields, access controls, network segmentation, regular vulnerability scanning, and PCI-DSS compliant payment processors. No system is 100% secure; if we ever experience a breach affecting your information we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.

7. Cookies & tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in, remember preferences, run analytics, and (where you have consented) measure the performance of marketing campaigns. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling certain cookies may limit Platform functionality.

8. Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active and for the additional period required to satisfy legal, tax and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. After that, we delete or anonymise the data.

9. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you and obtain a copy
  • Correct information that is inaccurate or out of date
  • Request erasure of information that is no longer required for the purposes for which it was collected
  • Withdraw your consent for processing that is based on consent
  • Nominate another person to exercise these rights in the event of your death or incapacity
  • File a grievance with our Grievance Officer (see Section 13) or with the Data Protection Board of India

We will respond to verified requests within the timelines required by applicable law.

10. Children

The Platform is intended for businesses and the individuals who represent them. It is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact our Grievance Officer and we will delete it.

11. International transfers

Your information is primarily processed in India. Where we engage service providers located outside India, we transfer information only to countries that the Indian government has not restricted for such transfers and only under appropriate contractual safeguards.

12. Updates to this policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified through the Platform or by email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
